Breed. Train.
Race. Remember.
Every Razorbuck has permanent inherited talent, a developing racing career, and the chance to begin a championship bloodline.
Welcome to the Track
Razorbuck Ridge Racing is a career system for Level 3 or higher razorbucks. Your razorbuck’s natural genes determine its underlying talent; training develops that talent; race results build its permanent reputation, earnings, and value.
Choose a Razorbuck
Open Razorbuck Racing Lair. Razorbucks below Level 3 appear locked until they mature.
Study Its Talent
Open the razorbuck’s Racing Career to see genes, training, fatigue, record, rating, earnings, and estimated value.
Train or Race
Train one attribute daily, or choose a race distance that suits the razorbuck’s strengths.
Understanding Racing Genetics
Every razorbuck carries four genetic attributes from 20 to 98. Genetics are permanent: racing and training do not alter them. A higher number means greater natural ability in that area.
Speed
Early acceleration and raw pace. Speed is especially powerful in the 1,000-metre Golden Sprint.
Stamina
The ability to maintain pace as a race continues. Essential for the 2,400-metre Stayer’s Crown.
Heart
Courage and finishing power when the field turns for home. Heart becomes most influential late in every race.
Consistency
Reduces good-day and bad-day performance swings, helping a razorbuck run closer to its true ability.
Potential
A razorbuck’s Potential is the average of all four genetic attributes. It is a useful overall guide—but it does not tell the entire story. A specialised sprinter with extraordinary Speed can defeat a higher-potential razorbuck over a short distance.

Training & Fatigue
Training develops a razorbuck beyond its inherited genes. Each discipline can gain up to 25 training points, and a daily session adds one or two points to the chosen area.
| Training choice | Best used for | Daily effect |
|---|---|---|
| Gate Speed | Sprinters and razorbucks that lack early pace | +1–2 Speed training |
| Stamina | Classic and endurance racers | +1–2 Stamina training |
| Finishing Heart | Razorbucks that weaken late | +1–2 Heart training |
| Consistency | Talented but unpredictable razorbucks | +1–2 Consistency training |
Each razorbuck may complete one training session per calendar day.
Every training session adds 12 fatigue points.
A razorbuck recovers 25 fatigue points for each full day of rest.
Babies inherit genes—not the training their parents earned.
Choosing a Race
The Golden Sprint
A sharp test of acceleration. Speed receives the strongest advantage, though heart still matters in the final strides.
Ideal: high SpeedThe Razorbuck Classic
The balanced race. Razorbucks need pace, stamina, and enough heart to finish strongly.
Ideal: well-rounded racersThe Stayer’s Crown
A demanding endurance contest where stamina becomes decisive and tired speed razorbucks can fade.
Ideal: high Stamina + HeartRace-day limits
- Each razorbuck may race once per day.
- Each lair owner receives three race entries per day.
- Razorbucks must be Level 3 or higher and cannot be frozen.
- Each race contains your razorbuck and five computer-controlled rivals of reasonably similar ability.
The server calculates the complete result before the animation begins. The moving razorbucks are a replay of that secured result, so refreshing or closing the animation cannot change the finish.
Records, Ratings & Purses
Race history belongs permanently to the razorbuck. It follows the razorbuck if sold through the marketplace or exchanged in a trade.
| Finish | Razbucks purse | Rating change |
|---|---|---|
| 1st | 150 | +25 |
| 2nd | 75 | +12 |
| 3rd | 35 | +5 |
| 4th–6th | 0 | −5 |
Race classes
Rating determines the class displayed in race records: Maiden & Allowance below 1,100, Stakes from 1,100, and Championship from 1,250. The Champions Board ranks the top fifty razorbucks by rating, wins, and earnings.
How Racing Affects Value
The Estimated Racing Value is an advisory Razbucks figure calculated from:
The estimate appears on the razorbuck’s racing career, public page, marketplace card, and private sale panel. It gives buyers and breeders a common point of reference.
Breeding a Racing Bloodline
Each baby inherits every racing gene separately. The starting point is the average of its mother and father, followed by a small natural variation. Each gene also has an 8% chance of a wider mutation.
What passes to the baby?
| Trait | Inherited? | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Speed, Stamina, Heart, Consistency genes | Yes | These represent natural ability. |
| Training points | No | Each baby must earn its own development. |
| Wins, earnings, rating, fatigue | No | Every baby begins a new career. |
Your First Week at the Track
Open every mature razorbuck to establish its founder genes. Identify your best sprinter, classic prospect, and stayer.
Give each prospect focused training. Avoid racing an already-tired razorbuck.
Enter the distance that best matches each razorbuck. Record which razorbucks finish strongly or fade.
Rest tired razorbucks and train weaknesses. Let consistency training settle an unpredictable runner.
Review ratings, value, and recent form. Begin planning crosses between complementary bloodlines.
Quick strategy checklist
- Race high-Speed Razorbucks at 1,000m.
- Prioritise Stamina for 2,400m.
- Heart helps every Razorbuck finish.
- Consistency makes results more dependable.
- Rest is training too—fatigue can erase a talent advantage.
- A proven Razorbuck has value, but an unraced Razorbuck with exceptional genes can be a priceless breeding prospect.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can my razorbuck’s genes change?
No. Genetic attributes are assigned once and remain permanent. Only separate training points can increase.
Why can’t my razorbuck race?
Check that it is Level 3, not frozen, has not already raced today, and has 75 fatigue or less. Your lair may also have used all three daily entries.
Why can’t my razorbuck train?
A razorbuck trains once daily and cannot train above 80 fatigue.
Will a champion always produce a champion?
No. Babies inherit genes rather than race records. Great performers often have strong genes, but natural variation keeps breeding exciting.
Does a sale or trade erase racing history?
No. Genetics, training, ratings, earnings, and the complete career remain attached to the razorbuck.
