Before You Breed

The breeding pages show razorbucks that currently qualify. If a razorbuck is missing, check these essentials first.

Adult LevelBoth parents must be Level 3 or higher.
Suitable PairSelect an eligible female and male that satisfy the site's pairing rules.
Room for a BabyThe female's owner must have room in their lair for the new offspring.
Breeding rest: females rest for five full days after breeding. Males rest for one full day (24 hours). The time is counted from the exact moment of breeding rather than resetting at midnight.

Two Ways to Breed

ABreed Within Your Lair

Choose an eligible female and male that you own. Review the pair, pay the normal breeding cost, and the baby joins your lair.

BUse a Public Male

Choose one of your eligible females and a male listed by another member. You receive the baby, while the male's owner receives the listed stud fee.

Breeding Step by Step

1Choose the Parents

Select your female, then choose either your own eligible male or one from the public Stud Directory.

2Review the Cost

Check the parents and the complete price. A public stud fee is charged in addition to the site's normal breeding cost.

3Create the Offspring

Complete the breeding. The baby receives recorded parents, inherited racing potential, and permanent generated adult artwork.

The Public Stud Directory

Owners may offer eligible adult males to other breeders from the male's management page. A new listing begins with a suggested fee of 100 Razbucks, but its owner may change the price—including setting it to 0 for a free breeding.

Female's OwnerReceives the baby and pays the breeding cost plus the displayed stud fee.
→
Male's OwnerReceives the full stud fee when the public breeding succeeds.
  • The total price is displayed for review before the breeding is completed.
  • The current stud fee is checked again at checkout, so an outdated page cannot charge the wrong amount.
  • A male disappears from the directory during his 24-hour rest period and returns automatically when ready, provided he remains listed.
  • The owner may change the fee or remove the listing at any time.
  • A public stud listing is removed automatically if the razorbuck changes owners.
  • All normal breeding requirements still apply to public pairings.
For male owners: listing a male does not sell or transfer him. It simply makes him available for approved outside pairings while he remains eligible.

What the Offspring Inherits

A Unique Adult Appearance

The breeding system creates a new 1000 × 708 PNG by blending visual traits from both parents. That generated image belongs permanently to the offspring and is stored with its individual record—it is not merely the standard species picture.

Young offspring display the normal baby artwork while below Level 3. When the razorbuck reaches Level 3, its own generated adult image appears automatically throughout the site.

Racing Bloodlines

Natural racing qualities can pass from the mother and father to their offspring. Training and actual race results still matter: inheritance supplies potential, while the razorbuck's career determines its final record, earnings, rating, and value.

What Is Not Inherited

  • Equipped backgrounds, toys, saddles, ribbons, and other decor stay with the parent.
  • Temporary rainbow or negative visual effects do not alter genetics.
  • A parent's race wins are not copied; every offspring begins and earns its own racing record.
  • The stud fee and public listing status are business settings, not inherited traits.
05

Pedigrees and Generations

Every bred razorbuck stores its mother and father, including babies created through the public Stud Directory. Those links build a pedigree reaching back as many as ten generations, with portraits and links to each ancestor's public page whenever that ancestor is available.

Parents → Grandparents → Great-grandparents → Continuing bloodline

Pedigrees help breeders plan pairings, follow successful racing families, preserve rare appearances, and avoid losing track of important ancestors. Open a razorbuck's public page and choose its pedigree option to explore the family.

Common Questions

Why is my female not listed for breeding?

Check that she is at least Level 3, has completed her full five-day rest period, satisfies the site's pairing rules, and that you have room for a new baby.

Why is a male missing from the Stud Directory?

He may not be publicly listed, may be below Level 3, may still be within his 24-hour rest period, or may currently fail another breeding requirement. If he remains listed, he returns automatically when his cooldown ends.

Who receives a baby from a public stud breeding?

The female's owner receives the baby. The male remains with his owner, who receives the full stud fee after a successful breeding.

Is the stud fee the complete breeding price?

No. The public stud fee is added to the site's normal breeding cost. Review the displayed total before confirming the pairing.

Can a male be listed for free?

Yes. The default fee is 100 Razbucks, but the owner may change it to any permitted nonnegative amount, including 0.

Why does my new offspring show the baby picture?

That is intentional. Its unique generated image is the permanent adult artwork and appears when it reaches Level 3.

Will decorations become part of the offspring?

No. Backgrounds, toys, decor, and wearable adornments are equipped inventory items and are never merged into breeding genetics.

Do appearance potions change breeding results?

Temporary rainbow and negative effects do not. A permanent gender potion changes the razorbuck's real gender and therefore changes which breeding role it can fill.

Does an excellent pedigree guarantee a champion?

No. Good bloodlines can improve inherited potential, but training, race distance, fatigue, and performance still shape the razorbuck's career.
